Why Respond to Mike Winger on PSA?

Across his six videos defending PSA and criticizing those who don't affirm this doctrine, Mike Winger made some pretty charged comments. As he perceives PSA as the heart of Christianity and the Gospel, he received challenges to this doctrine as though they were challenging the Work of Christ itself. Thus, Mike placed critics of PSA into two categories: 1. Lying, liberal, progressive, poop-faces who have stripped away the true meaning of the cross in an effort to create a god in their own image and deceive others in the process...

or... 2. Those who have been deceived and are too ignorant to accept PSA and should have just trusted their Bible.

This brief video is intended to highlight some of Mike's statements, so we are not accused of inventing these out of thin air. Yes, there is a context in which he said these things and you can watch his entire series via the links provided below and determine for yourself the merit of both Mike's claims and ours. We do not view PSA as a litmus test to determine who is a Christian and who isn't. We are conservative, Bible believing Christians who respect Christian history. As noted throughout our response series, we love and appreciate Mike and his ministry.
