Sovereignty - An Insane Doctrine
In this polemical work, various clips are combined where RC Sproul claims denial of the Westminster Confession of Faith (WCoF) makes one an atheist, as well as arguing that if determinism is true then such arguments are worthless. These conflicting claims are edited together to reveal the inconsistencies within his theology.
The WCoF pushes determinism and RC claimed to deny it made one an atheist. Of course when combating atheism, he argued against determinism. All revealing his inconsistencies and the internal contradictions within Calvinism.
If God decreed whatsoever comes to pass, then this would include all things such as evil and our thoughts. Thus, in attempting to convince others determinism is true the arguing party reveals they don't really believe their own claim; as they're assuming the other agent is free to respond and consider their claims. However, if determinism were true then persuasion is irrelevant, as is truth itself.
No, many Christians reject the WCoF, Calvinism & determinism as they believe the Bible apart from Augustinian philosophical presuppositions.
