IDOL KILLER

Destroying Sacred Cows for the Cause of Christ

The Apostles and their Disciples were faithful to teach and emulate Christ: the Word made flesh.
However, as we were warned in Acts 20:29, men soon arose teaching opinions and philosophy at odds with truth. Much of this has become revered doctrine within Christianity today - sacred cows that few dare question.

It's time to smash these idols, shine the light of truth and call everyone to return to the Sure Foundation.

Jesus Was Obscene, Loathsome & Sin Incarnate - RC Sproul

RC SPROUL TELLS US HOW HE SEES THE REDEMPTIVE WORK OF JESUS. Here is another entry into a series we call Radio Sovereign Geneva. In this polemical work, various clips were used of RC Sproul defending Penal Substitutionary Atonement. He repeatedly claimed that Christ was sin incarnate, loathsome, obscene, grotesque, a mass of sin and not only cursed by God but became a literal curse and thus was cut off by God and cast into outer darkness.

This is of course a Gnostic view of sin, wherein sin is a substance. They claim Jesus became sinful and cursed because God is incapable of genuinely forgiving the repentant. Thus they claim God punished the most innocent, most righteous, most good, most upright man to ever walk the earth... and they claim because of this they are free to live how they please as they're among the elect for whom Jesus suffered the punishment of all their past, present and future sins.

This is an obscene and heretical view of the Redemptive work of Christ! Yet, popular teachers like RC Sproul, John MacArthur and others teach this wickedness as though it were truth.

Sproul ignores the meaning of Isaiah 53 and the entirety of Psalm 22: "I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You. You who fear the Lord, praise Him; All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And stand in awe of Him, all you [s]descendants of Israel. For He has not despised nor scorned the suffering of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard." We see God did not turn His back on Jesus!
