God is Responsible for Evil! - MacArthur

Most of the clips of JMac come from his sermon: "Why Does God Allow So Much Suffering and Evil?"

This of course is a polemical work intended to refute not only MacArthur, not only Calvinism, but all of Theistic Determinism. This system believes God has decreed everything, including every act of evil; that He is not allowing evil acts but rather is the ultimate causal agent by way of His immutable eternal decree. This of course is contrary to Scripture and accuses God of all evil.

JMac is joined here with soundbites from RC Sproul & James White who likewise are notable adherents of this faulty philosophy. It is our hope that this causes Calvinists, including MacArthur and White, to repent from such beliefs and stop blaming God for sin and evil. Rather, we are God's imagebearers, and as such were created with genuine free will and self-determination. For this reason, sin originates not in the mind or decree of God, but with His wayward imagebearers.

Contrary to the claims made by Calvinists, God did not create evil. Evil is death and meaningless. However, God is Life and can use such things to bless and bring life to those who trust Him.

If you've been hurt by evil men, that was NOT your Father in heaven hurting you through them. He hates evil and will judge them for it. If you've believed the lie that God created perfect evil, repent and run home. The Father is waiting and willing to forgive. He's far greater than you imagined.
