Pure No More - A Cry From Heaven - RC Sproul

RC SPROUL BELIEVES JESUS BECAME IMPURE & GOD DAMNED HIM AT THE CROSS. The lengths men will go to in defending Penal Substitutionary Atonement is astounding. In this latest entry into Radio Sovereign Geneva we took several clips from RC Sproul teaching that Jesus died impure, sin incarnate, cursed and forsaken by God. The original clip: https://youtu.be/Lgwpd0SKpmc In Isaiah 53 we read that men cursed Jesus and claimed it was actually God who cursed Him, yet there was Jesus - God with us - laying down His life to redeem and deliver us in a display of selfless love and mercy.

Sproul argues that Jesus didn't suffer and die unjustly, but that He became sinful so the punishment was just. This denies that Jesus was the Spotless and sinless lamb. Instead, he argues that Jesus was the MOST sinful human to ever walk the planet.

This is a blasphemous view of God, stemming from a Gnostic view of sin, wherein sin is a substance. It causes God's justice and mercy to become perverted and disrupts the unity of the Triune God. They claim Jesus became sinful and cursed because God is incapable of genuinely forgiving the repentant. Thus they claim God punished the most innocent, most righteous, most good, most upright man to ever walk the earth... and they claim because of this they are free to live how they please as they're among the elect for whom Jesus suffered the punishment of all their past, present and future sins.

This is an obscene and heretical view of the Redemptive work of Christ! Yet, popular teachers like RC Sproul, John MacArthur and others teach this wickedness as though it were truth.
