Can Christians Be Molinists & Open Theists?
Recently, Cameron Bertuzzi of Capturing Christianity commented that the arguments against Molinism and Open Theism are weak. In response to this, Tyler Vela "The Freed Thinker" joined Eli Ayala of Revealed Apologetics to argue in support of Theistic Determinism; that Molinism and Open Theism are not just false, but "not plausible for Christians to hold". In fact, Tyler calls those holding an open view "wolves"and compares them to the prophets of Ba'al. In response, Drew McLeod of The Provisionist Perspective joined Idol Killer to review the arguments made by Tyler in his attempted refutation and provide a response. While theistic determinists such as Tyler must deny God knows entire epistemological categories, Dynamic Omniscience recognizes God created man with genuine freewill and He knows all of the following: 1. Sequential Knowledge
2. Knowledge of the Possible
3. Knowledge of the Probable
4. Creative Knowledge
5. Experiential Knowledge
6. Emotions
7. Knowledge of true Conditionals
Topics to be discussed include Natural Knowledge, Free Knowledge, Middle Knowledge, the various epistemological categories of knowledge (possible, probable, impossible, certain, experiential, etc), the nature of time, numerous passages of Scripture and much more!
